Windows Xp professional

To enable a guest account:

  1. Click Start, and then click Control Panel.
  2. Select in menu User Accounts user Guest and click the turn on guest account button.

To disable simple file sharing yourself, follow these steps:

  1. Click Start, and then click My Computer.
  2. On the Tools menu, click Folder Options.
  3. In the Advanced Settings section, click to clear the Use simple file sharing (Recommended) check box.
  4. Click OK.

To share a folder or a drive, follow these steps:

  1. Click Start, and then click My Computer.
  2. Right-click the folder or drive, and then click Sharing and Security.
  3. On the Sharing tab, click Share this folder.
  4. To set share permissions on the shared folder or drive, click Permissions. Optional: To avoid asking for password give full permissions (Full control) to group Everyone.
  5. To set NTFS permissions on the share, click Security tab. Optional: To avoid asking for password give full permissions (Full control) to group Everyone.

This way you can share individual folders or entire disk incuding DVD drive. To play the original DVD-Video discs this way require AnyDVD or similar program running in the background on your computer.

 

Windows Vista

Check setups as of the following:

  1. Click Start, and then click Control Panel.
  2. In menu Network and Share Center option Use File Sharing should be enabled and option Password protected sharing should be disabled.

To share a folder or a drive, follow these steps:

  1. Click Start, and then click Computer.
  2. Right-click the folder or drive, and then click Properties.
  3. On the Sharing tab, click Advanced sharing.
  4. You need to add Guest user and give him full permissions (Full control).

This way you can share individual folders or entire disk incuding DVD drive. To play the original DVD-Video discs this way require AnyDVD or similar program running in the background on your computer.

 

Windows 7

Check setups as of the following:

  1. Kliknij przycisk Start, a następnie kliknij Panel sterowania.
  2. W menu Centrum Sieci i Udostępniania wybieramy Zmień Zaawansowane Ustawienia Udostępniania i zmieniamy następujące opcje w obecnym profilu (Dom i praca).
    • Włącz odnajdowanie sieci
    • Włącz udostępnianie plików i drukarek
    • Włącz udostępnianie, aby dowolna osoba z dostępem...
    • Włącz udostępnianie plików dla urządzeń korzystających...
    • Zezwalaj systemowi Windows na zarządzanie...

Aby udostępnić folder lub dysk, wykonaj następujące kroki:

  1. Click Start, and then click Control Panel.
  2. Kliknij folder lub dysk prawym przyciskiem myszy, a następnie kliknij polecenie Właściwości.
  3. Na karcie Udostępnianie kliknij opcję Udostępnianie zaawansowane.
  4. Zaznaczamy Udostępnij ten folder
  5. Klikamy Uprawnienia i nadajemy grupie Wszyscy pełne uprawnienia (Pełna kontrola).

 

 

Note: Depending on configuration you may also need to enable the Local security policy setting Network access: Let Everyone permissions apply to anonymous users:

  1. Click Start, type secpol.msc and hit enter.
  2. Select Local policies.
  3. Select Security options.
  4. Find Network access: Let Everyone permissions apply to anonymous users and set it to enabled.

 

 

W powyższy sposób udostępnić można pojedyncze foldery lub całe dyski w tym napęd DVD. Do odtwarzania udostępnionych w ten sposób oryginalnych płyt DVD-Video konieczny jest program AnyDVD lub podobny działający w tle na komputerze.
